Christmas Printables

I made this math printable for my 5 year old, however my 3 and 9 year old joined in on the next game.

It can easily be played with a variety of different manipulatives, like buttons, play dough, sequins, etc.  We recently received a new pack of do a dot markers, so we used those!

To play, you'll need:

  • Roll & Cover printable (below)

  • Do A Dots {or other manipulatives}

  • Die

Little Sis and I each chose a color Do A Dot to use for the game.  To play, one player will roll the die first and then dot that many white spots on the tree. Think of it like adding "ornaments" to the tree!

Then the next player rolls the die and dots that many white spots on the tree.

Continue until the tree is covered; hence your decorating is done!  This might be the easiest tree you decorate all season ; )

In the end, Little Sis beat me by one Do A Dot "ornament!"  She was thrilled.

Other variations of this game:

  • Assign a color to each number on the die, and when that number is rolled use that color to decorate the Christmas tree.

  • Print 2 sheets and race each other to fill your own game board.

  • Write a number in each white space, when you roll that number-- dot it.

  • Make up your own way to play!

As you can see, this printable roll and cover game is super versatile and fun!  Enjoy this simple math game this holiday season!
