5 Reasons to go to a Homeschool Convention

This is a sponsored post written by me. All opinions are my own. I never agree to post anything I can’t whole heartedly recommend to my readers!

Why should you go to a Homeschool Convention?

Encouragement!

Have you ever felt like you are alone homeschooling? Like you are a fish swimming upstream while all your neighbors, church friends, and family all swim downstream. Conventions are a great chance to meet hundreds and hundreds of other homeschool families. You are not alone, you are in good company. Come be encouraged by many other homeschoolers and make some new friends!

Plus the inspirational speakers you will here will leave you refreshed and excited to continue homeschooling your children.

Training

Homeschooling is fun, but let’s face it. It is a full time job. For ever job you need training. Training keeps us up to date on current strategies and techniques and inspires us to do better at our job. Homeschooling is no different. You need training. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no way you can be an expert on every subject from K-12. Come here by experts that will train and equip you to teach your child more effectively.

Here are some of the session topics you might find: Homeschool Legal Questions, Math, Reading, Science, Spelling, Writing, Classical Home Education, Charlotte Mason Methods, Unit Studies, Beginning Homeschooling, Homeschooling through High School, Special Needs, Homeschool Records, , Gifted Homeschooling, Parenting, Christian Worldview, Creation Apologetics and more!

Resources

Picking a curriculum can be overwhelming! There are so many wonderful choices out there – but it can be a daunting and time consuming task to pick just one. Homeschool conventions have halss filled with hundreds of vendors. You can actually pick up and look at the curriculum you are considering. You can ask questions. Plus you can usually get some amazing deals if you purchase your curriculum at a convention.

Fun

Homeschool Conventions can be a lot of fun. They are a chance to be encouraged by other homeschoolers and keep your eyes on the prize of why you are homeschooling. And if you go to one of Great Homeschool Conventions you will also laugh out loud with comedian Mark Lowry.

FREE!

We all know money it tight for homeschoolers. So even if you nodded you head in agreement with me over the last 4 reasons why you should go you just may not financially be able to go. What if it was free! One lucky reader will get to take their entire family to a fantastic homeschool convention for FREE!

Pick Great Homeschool Conventions!

There are lots of choices when it comes to a homeschool convention. But like everything else, not every option is the best option. Local conventions are the most convenient but many are just not big enough to have huge exhibitor halls (to include that one curriculum you are wanting to see up close) or have many choices in sessions (to cover the topics you need covered most).

May I suggest, Great Homeschool Conventions. (This is where I will be going this year!)
