First Grade Math Worksheets
I remember doing Mad Minutes growing up. I was pretty good at Math, and I loved the chance to challenge myself and show up my classmates (not nice I know ). Goofy is good at math, but he gets lazy doing the work. Making practicing his addition and subtraction a fun game seems do the trick.
Mad minutes can be done timed (1 minute) or untimed. These are great for adding some extra practice. You will find 26 worksheets for kids including:
- basic addition
- 0-20 addition
- basic subtraction
- subtraction 0-20
- combined subtraction & addition worksheets
I highly recommend putting these math worksheets in page protectors or laminating to use over and over! (Note: I’ve noticed that off brand laminator sheets do not wipe clean as nicely. We will be sticking with the Scotch laminator sheets going forward!)
If you have older children, here are 2nd Grade Mad Minutes.

Advanced 1st Grade Math Mad Minute Add- On
We are using Singapore Math 1A & 1B for Goofy’s 1st Grade. Singapore Math does go into multiplication during the last quarter of the year as well as complex addition/subtraction to 100. So I have included a 1st Grade Mad Minutes – ADD ON. I know that in many schools multiplication is not usually taught until 2nd or 3rd grade. So please do not feel bad if your child isn't ready for them yet. All kids develop at their own pace. You know your child’s skills and readiness better than others. It is for that reason I am ‘packaging’ them separately – I would hate to add to others anxiety =-) But if you are using Singapore like us, or have an advanced 1st Grader, I wanted to let you know they are available!
