Animal Report Forms
My idea behind the Animal Report Form Printable is that kids would do a report on an animal from each of the animal classes. They can then add one of the 3 cover choices (one color and two black and white for your student to color). This way kids would not only learn about a variety of animals, but would also have a grasp about the different classifications animals are divided up into. There are individual Animal Report Forms with descriptions for the following Animal Classifications:
- Bird Class
- Fish Class
- Amphibian Class
- Reptile Class
- Mammal Class
- Insect Class
- Crustacean Class
- Mollusks Class
There is also a sheet for children to write down several examples of each classification to get a quick at-a-glance understanding on how they are broken down.
Preschool – 1st Grade Animal Report Forms
- Description of the Animal Classification
- What do they eat
- How big does it get
- Where does it live (habitat & location on a map)
- Interesting Facts
- Place for student to draw or place a picture
2nd Grade – 6th Grade Animal Report Forms
The 2nd-6th grade Animal Report Forms have a lot more detail for kids to explore about the animals. They include:
- Description of each animal classification
- What do they eat
- What are babies called
- What is its habitat & where does it live
- How big does it get
- Who are it’s predators
- Interesting Facts
- Draw or place a picture
You may want to have older students do more than one report per classification. For example – flying & non flying birds or monotremes & marsupials mammals.
