Our summer is filled with lots of fun kids activities that will build lots of memories together.

One of my kids favorite summer activities is squirt gun painting.

It is very simple and inexpensive to set-up. Plus it is loads of fun for toddlers, preschool, and elementary age kids alike.

I filled Dixie cups with 1 teaspoon of powdered tempera paint & the rest with water; mix well. The Dixie cups were a great size and easy to bend to pour straight in the squirt guns.

Note: I purchased a 3 pack for $1 because I wasn’t sure if they would be ruined, turns out they come clean – YEAH!

I draped a roll of paper over our swing set for the kids to create their work of art. They were beyond excited to get to paint with squirt guns!

Even Tinkerbell (2) really enjoyed this activity. She really surprised me how easily she pulled the trigger and enjoyed covering the canvas with color!

And amazingly enough, the paint all stayed on the paper. Although it was washable just in case.

Here is our work of art. I refilled their squirt guns several times with a variety of paint. As the artwork was so large we didn’t actually bring this one inside to put on the fridge!

NOTE: You could do this art on a white bed sheet then just throw it in the wash and repeat!
