In case the concept of a Spelling Dictionary is new to you, you can read my explanation here, but basically
A Spelling Dictionary is a mini book that lists only the words your student has trouble spelling.
Spelling Dictionary
This Spelling Dictionary features:
- larger page format to allow for more words and ruled lines
- Full 8 1/2 x 11 Spelling Dictionary
- ruled lines (for 1st-3rd grade)
- common words already in the margin
- 2 cover choices
Print all the pages. There is a touch of color on each page to be thrifty with color printing, but at the same time be visually exciting for kids because your student will continue to use this over and over for years to come!
As your student finds words they have trouble spelling they can write it neatly in their spelling dictionary.. This not only gives them practice writing the word, but it allows them to quickly look up these commonly misspelled words without being frustrated by looking up so many words in the big dictionary.
HINT: You may prefer a 1/2 page booklet with non-ruled lines. The My Spelling Dictionary (1/2 page for 3rd-6th grade) is also free!
