Get ready for an overload of lots of really cool “stuff” in their gift shops not only on main street, but at the exit of major rides.

For those of us on a budget, that can be difficult. In our family, my kids have the opportunity to earn $20-30 each before hand and choose to spend it at Disney if they like. But for me best Disney souvenirs are my memories and some of these free Disney souvenirs.

pressed pennies at Disney World

Plus, not FREE, but you can get a pressed penny for 51¢. Kids will love making their own souvenir as you stop by different pressed penny machines at every resort and park for a fun, unique souvenir. Our favorite was getting pennies from around the world at Epcot – check in the gift shop of each country.

Best Disney Souvenirs

If you are going to spring for a paid  Disney World souvenir I recommend getting things you can only find in the park or that are a memory in and of themselves:

  • build your own Mr. Potato Head with “Disney accessories”

  • build your own light saber (plus don’t forget your kids can be in the Jedi Training Academy too)

  • holiday ornament (Our family picks an ornament each year from wherever we visit on vacation. Then when we put up the tree we can remember all our  special family memories together.)

  • pick a pearl in Japan / Epcot (you pick a clam and then get whatever pearl(s) are in side. We opted to put ours in a nice setting for our daughter to remember the trip and our fun as a family)
