Hundreds Chart Worksheets

A hundred chart is such a useful way for kids to learn how to write numbers up to 100. Kids can learn how to spot number patterns such as how all the numbers ending in "2" are in the same column.

Preparation

Print the hundred charts and worksheet activities. I used a laminator  on the colored hundred charts so that I could re-use them as a reference chart for my students.

You could also laminate the worksheets and re-use them as write and wipe mats.

To Play

I began by showing my students the colored 100 chart. I gave each child a set of transparent counters and they used them to highlight various number patterns. Soon my students realized that the numbers in each column ended in the same number.

Free Fill In The Missing Numbers To 100

After exploring the 100 chart patterns, I gave my students the first worksheet and they had a go at filling in the missing numbers. Over the next few weeks, they progressed through the various fill in the missing number worksheets.

Then to assess their progress, I gave them the blank 100 chart to fill in. This simple assessment tool was great for determining how well each child was able to write numbers up to 100. It also highlighted which numbers the children still needed to work on.

Extension Activity

When my students could write numbers to 100, I turned the page over and wrote 101 on the back. Then I challenged them to write the numbers up to 120!
