There are two ways to play this game:

Identify Time Only Version

Supplies:

  • Telling Time Tic-Tac-Toe-Game (download below)

  • 2 dice

  • 2 crayons OR 2 Bingo Markers OR Unifex Cubes (great for making it re-usable)

Player One rolls 1-2 dice for their turn; they cover ONE clock on the page whose hour matches the time they rolled. Player Two takes their turn and play continues until you run out of cubes or fill the sheet. The winner is the person who has the most 3-in-a-row at the end of the game.

NOTE: If there are no more clocks with the time you rolled you may roll again.

Draw the Hour Hand Version

Supplies:

  • Telling Time Tic-Tac-Toe-Game (download below)

  • 2 dice

  • 2 different colored markers

Player One rolls 1-2 dice for their turn; they draw the hour hand on one clock to reflect the time they rolled. Player Two takes their turn and play continues until someone gets Tic-Tac-Toe. Now play again in the next quadrant; there are 4 quadrants per sheet!

HINT: Save on paper and printing costs by using a laminator  or page protector and dry erase markers. Then you can use it over and over again!

OPTIONS: With younger learners you can always just roll one dice to start with and just focus on 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 o'clock.

Here is an explanation of how to play both versions:
