One of my favorite things about this Thanksgiving craft is that it is inexpensive to make. If you don’t already have the supplies at home, you can find everything you need at the dollar store.
To begin making this Thanksgiving craft, cut a paper plate in half. Next, use the paint brush to spread glue all over the paper plate until it is completely covered. Then, place the feathers on top and gently press them down so they stick to the paper plate.
While the glue dries, cut the cardboard tube to the size turkey that you want to make. It’s always fun to make different sizes and create a family of turkeys. Next, paint the cardboard tube with the brown paint.
While the paint dries, cut a diamond out of the orange construction paper and fold it in half to make the turkey’s beak. Then, cut an oval out of the red paper for the turkey’s gobbler.
After the paint dries, glue the beak in the middle of the cardboard tube. Next, glue the gobbler next to the beak. Then, glue the googly eyes above the beak. Finally, glue the cardboard tube to the paper plate. If you want your turkey to stand up, make sure that the bottom of the cardboard tube and paper plate line up.
This holiday, decorate your house with Thanksgiving crafts that your children create. This Feathered Paper Plate Turkey Craft is easy and fun for young children to make. Your Thanksgiving guests are sure to love it too!
