Fall Alphabet Letters
This free printable alphabet match activity includes 26 fall trees. Each tree has a lowercase and uppercase letter printed on it. It also includes 52 lowercase leaf cards and 52 uppercase leaf cards.
Cut the trees and leaf cards apart on the gray dotted lines. When working with little learners, I prefer to laminate my printable games. This makes the pieces more durable. If you are not going to laminate, I would recommend printing on cardstock.
After the pieces are prepped, it's time to find a spot to play!
When working with the entire alphabet, the matching game takes up a lot of room. In my classroom we play games like our fall leaf uppercase & lowercase alphabet match on the floor or in a pocket chart on the wall. At home, my kids like to spread everything across the kitchen table.
Place the alphabet letter trees out in the space you have chosen to play. Put all of the leaf cards in a basket.
Pick one leaf card out from the basket. Identify the letter on it. Make the letter sound if that is a skill currently being worked on. Now find the fall tree that the leaf belongs on. Place the letter leaf card on the tree and pick a new card!
If learning the alphabet has not been mastered yet, pick out just a few letters to work with. Start with just the uppercase letter leaf cards or just the letters in the child's name. Don't let the activity become overwhelming. Work up to the entire alphabet, using all of the uppercase and lowercase leaf cards!
