Come take a Peak!

Several of you have asked - what does your school room look like? And honestly, I LOVE looking at other blogs and seeing where/how they do school too. If you want to see what our day looks like or what we are studying - go here. But, here is where we do school.

First, this is probably what you were looking for - our homeschool ROOM

Closer look at my storage area, resource books, supplies, kids dress-ups, games, manipulatives, pretend grocery store & kitchen.

More of our "school" room: music, puzzles, Spanish books, library book storage, and where I keep toys to entertain Tinker Bell.

Where we sit to do seat work. We have '>'>'>pushpins (each of us have a color) for where we've been in the world & US. Our 29 gallon aquarium - our favorite fish is the black ghost knife (he's scaleless.). You can also see Tinkerbell's exersaucer (what would I do without it!). The picture to the right is one of my favorites. I got it at Target for $2.50 and it holds SO much. It has been a huge help in organizing all the crayons, pencils, stamps, markers, and bingo paint.

Here are more places in our home that we do school: crafts/projects at the kitchen table, logic at the train table, architecture with duplos/Lego's [see our lego games], experiments/science in the backyard, role playing - community helpers, crafts on the floor, science in our garden, exercise in our backyard/playground!

And then there is the school that isn't done at our home!! That is one of the advantages of homeschooling!! So, being a homeschooler, here are more of our learning spaces: car (teachable moments), FIELDRIPS, museums, farms, zoo, community helper meetings/talks, banks, playgrounds, arboretums, libraries, sports classes, community center, grocery store, post office, co-ops, church, and SO MANY MORE!
