Preschool is Fun with Disney Junior Back to School Products
Whenever my older kids get ready for back to school my youngest gets the school itch too; she wants a backpack and school work of her own. My “big girl” may not be ready for traditional school yet, but she is sure an eager learner ready for some fun hands on learning activities and playing school. What better way to get make education fun than learning with her favorite Disney Junior characters!
We were excited when we saw the Disney Junior Back to School Products while getting school supplies for my other kids at Wal-Mart. My almost 4 year old would love doing school with Mickey! [Note: There are also learning materials based on Sophia the First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and other products from Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.]
My daughter [whom I refer to as Tinkerbell on this blog] was thrilled with her preschool activities. She brought her stuffed Mickey Mouse down to sit down next to her. My favorite part was when she started to teach Mickey using the adorable Mickey Mouse hand pointer included in the kit.
There were tons of activities included in the Learning Schoolhouse Activity for Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students. There were 6 activity boards to use with dry erase markers, a magnetic dry erase surface with correlating magnets, a map of the US, a movable clock, flashcards, sight words, and more. We will certainly be able to use this for a long time. #Ready4Preschool #CollectiveBias
Hands on Learning with Mickey Mouse Playdough
We also come up with this fun hands on playdough learning activity. We used flashcards from the Disney Junior Learning Schoolhouse Activity, playdough, alphabet stamps, and Mickey Mouse cookie cutter to practice alphabet letters and spelling.
Tinkerbell picked a word ford flashcard. Then we rolled out the playdough and used the Mickey shaped cutter to make a Mickey for every letter in the word. Then I pulled out all the letters my preschooler would need. Then she stamped the letters in the Mickey shaped playdough to spell the word. We had so much fun with this hands on activity. My preschooler practiced saying and identifying her alphabet letters as well as being introduced to how letters work together to spell words.
