Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe - this is a great, no fail recipe. Perfect to bake with the kids, snack for kids, or even to make into bars. YUMMY!

These cookie are soft, chewy, and perfect! No flat cookies thanks to my secret….. I add baking soda AND baking powder to all my cookies. Try it – you’ll never go back!







Cookie Recipe


Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe


Blend together the following ingredients until creamy:


  • 1 cup softened butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 teas vanilla extract


Now mix the following ingredients until combined only – do not over mix!


  • 1/2 teas baking powder

  • 1/2 teas baking soda

  • 1/2 teas salt

  • 3 cups quick cooking oats

  • 1 1/2 cup flour


add in nuts


Add in 1 cup of walnuts. (optional)



add in 1 or 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips

Add in 1-2 cups of chocolate chips depending on how chocolatey you like your cookies.

Note: These are super yummy with butterscotch, vanilla, or peanut butter chips instead too!



scoop cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet


Drop cookies on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes exactly at 325 F.

Allow the cookies to cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling wrack.
