Disney World Activities OUTSIDE of the Parks

Sure, we all go to Disney World for the amazing park (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios), but there is so much more to do in this ultimate family vacation.

Disney World is the ultimate family vacation, and you don’t have to be in the parks to enjoy the fun!

Whether you have some “free days” built in or you have time when you arrive/leave – you will want to check out these Disney World activities outside the parks.

  • Rent a 2 or 4 person bike at the Polynesian Resort or Port Orleans for a relaxing afternoon

  • Take 4-5 person Carriage Ride at Port Orleans or Fort Wilderness

  • Play a round of mini golf at Winter Summerland (super well themed with lots of surprises for the family!)

  • Go fishing at Port Orleans and Fort Wilderness “catch and release.”

  • Rent a boat – most Disney’s Moderate, Deluxe and DVC resorts have a marina where you can rent various types of watercraft such as kayaks, canoes or pedal boats for about $7 for a half-hour rental
